East Providence Community Challenge Cleanup Date: April 27, 2024 — 9:30am to 11:30am Location: East Providence City Hall Cleanup supplies including work gloves, bags, litter pickers and safety vests, will be available for volunteers at the City Hall Parking lot the morning of the event from 9-9:30am. Supplies for Earth Day cleanups made possible with part funding from an Earth Day Grant award received from Narragansett Bay Commission. Anyone interested in volunteering for a cleanup or getting a group together please contact Donna McMahon at 401-435-7701 or 401-435-7500 EXT 40021 or dmcmahon@eastprovidenceri.gov we can provide work gloves and trash bags. All debris collected from cleanup events will be pickup for disposal by city crews. Coordinator: City of East Providence Cleanup area #1: Streets along the Rt. 195 in East Providence from Broadway along Freeborn Ave to Potter Street to School St to Oakley St and along Broadway under bridge. Cleanup area #2: (if enough volunteers) along Veteran’s Memorial Scenic Parkway concentration on the area from the East Bay Bike Path parking area to pump station and small park at Watchemoket Cove and continuing along the parkway to Kettle Point.
