It's International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Season: August - November

With partners all over the world, the Ocean Conservancy organizes the ICC, a  world wide event that engages people to remove trash from the shores, waterways and inland as we are "fighting for trash free seas".  These events not only collect litter, but also document the litter found in an effort to make lasting change to understand and end this problem.

Locally, Save The Bay is proud to be the Rhode Island State Coordinator for the effort, organizing dozens of cleanups throughout the state and now asking other organizations to hold an event and collect litter data.  The data is published in an annual report on marine debris by the Ocean Conservancy. See the full 2022 Rhode Island report!
