Richmond - Earth Day Community Cleanup
Volunteers welcome
Earth Day, which began in 1970, occurs every April 22 and is a great day to celebrate our environment, for all. Richmond celebrates by holding an annual Earth Day cleanup in our town, and this year, the Richmond Conservation Commission has scheduled the event for Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24, seeking you, and your family and friends to help cleanup along town roads and town properties. The Commission will have cleanup kits ready to go each day for teams to pick up at Town Hall, plus sign up for your cleanup locations. Thanks to Richmond’s Department of Public Works, they will then collect the color-coded bagged recyclables and trash for relay to the transfer station. And another cleanup option for you will be to help the Richmond Rural Land Preservation Trust with trail work on one of its Richmond preserves. A great team effort by the town helps to keep Richmond green and a beautiful place to live. We appreciate your help!
