Mrs. McKee's Earth Day visit to Bailey Elementary School in Providence

A fun book reading happened today to celebrate Earth Day at the Robert Bailey IV Elementary School in Providence.

First Lady, Mrs. McKee read "Look Out for Litter" to their 3rd grade students. The theme is Trina, a pirate, shares how to save the Earth as she does not like litter.

Also joining the fun, Johanna, Sydney and Carolina, 8th grade students from Wickford Middle School. They came and read "The Littlest Ghost" that they wrote & illustrated highlighting how even one person can make a big difference to solve big problems.

And how cool is this -- "The Littlest Ghost" won First Place in RI in the Technology Student Association's Children's Stories event!!

It was wonderful to have our special guest Mrs. McKee, listen to two great books, meet super fun students & teachers, and have our special pirate, Mo, join the event.

Remember RI -- pirates and no one, likes litter !
